Don’t waste time-Be a productive muslim. Islam encourages us to make the most of our time. How many times do we talk about death? Not enough, even though we all lost loved ones who are no longer with us — whether family, friends or someone we knew. Did they think they were going to die? We even hear young ones are dying without any medical reasons or signs.

The reality is that anyone could die at any given moment. We shouldn’t delay any obligatory acts, including the Salah, a Family dispute or even Hajj, if you can afford it. A wise Muslim plans everything around his five daily Salah, which is the key to Jannah and to improving your concentration, focus, and khusu in Salah —your contact with Allah. Salahn cleanses your evil deeds and your rank, depending on the quality of your prayer, along with doing good deeds and building your relationship with the Quran —Allah’s word.

We should all follow the Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah- and live by the Quran. Helping the needy and poor, giving Zakat and continuously asking forgiveness from the sins committed to Allah, who is the most merciful, the al Rahman, Al Rahim al Ra’uf, al Malik.

We should take every opportunity to do good deeds, spend our time learning beneficial Islamic knowledge and sharing it, including with disbelievers by giving Dawah and becoming ambassadors of Islam, and strive to improve our character, manners, and habits. We should avoid gossip and backbiting. Be humble and read and study the Quran. Stay away from Haram stuff like haram social media.

Spending time with friends’ friends and with those who remind you of Allah and motivate you to improve by doing good deeds and staying away from Islamic environments will make a difference. One of the most essential acts in Islam is giving—Dawah to Disbelievers.

We’re all going to die sooner or later. There may be no tomorrow, so don’t delay!

By Foyjul Islam

My name is Foyjul Islam. I am a journalist and writer based in London, UK, and a practicing Muslim with a deep passion for thoughtful living, faith, and personal growth. I am currently studying in the ʿĀlimiyyah program and pursuing Hifz, which allows me to deepen my understanding of the Islamic tradition and strengthen my connection to the Qur’an. I love travelling, learning, and meeting people from different walks of life. These experiences have shaped how I see the world and taught me to be my own teacher in life. I believe that every journey, conversation, and challenge carries a lesson, and I try to approach each day with curiosity and gratitude. Outside of work and studies, I enjoy spending time with my family, which keeps me grounded and reminds me of what truly matters. I’m into sports, which helps me stay healthy and active, and I’m a bit of a foodie who enjoys discovering new places to eat. I also have a long-standing interest in cars. My faith is at the heart of who I am. It guides my values, my writing, and the way I interact with others. Through my journey of faith, family, writing, ʿĀlimiyyah studies, and Hifz, I hope to offer benefit, inspiration, and reflection to others, and to contribute in a small way to meaningful, faith-rooted conversations in our time.
