In Islam there should be no time for Wasting

In the glorious Quran, Allah mentions about time wasting and laziness. So we should plan our time and always try to occupy our time by going Deeds and should be in a Islamic environment helps massively. So its important we choose our friends carefully! Not those who are just chasing the Dunya and materials things, this will help us remember Allah and encourage us to do good deeds and remember Allah.

We should remind ourselves this life is temporary and not a day or hour guaranteed. Life is short the real life is Permanent, we should focus on this and remember death. This will motivate us to do good deeds so we can enter Jannah (Paradise).

Procrastination is a big problem not just in Islam but universally. Having all this addicted tech like social Media and is the fact biggest factor, why kids are lazy and obese. Kids are getting obese because lack of movement but spending so much time with social media, games, especially with a bad diet which is the main cause, including adults.

Sadly this trend will continue, unless big changes are made from government legislation and big companies tech as well as food companies like MacDonalds and Coca-cola etc. And tech companies like Facebook, ticktok, youtube, Snap Chat.

When we didn’t have social media and fast food chains, kids where more active and less lazy, research shows. Did You know what you eat can effect your mood and cause laziness. They spend less time in studying,, Its a wasting time, because people are spending so much time in the phones it has become a addiction. Sadly you can see these in Trains and Buses in cities around the world.

There need to be big changes, before it gets out of hand, it has become the new normal, that everyone got a mobile these days. Although you can do good things with it like the internet, depending how we use it, however it is effecting our health physically as well as mentally (psychological).

My name is Foyjul Islam. I am a journalist and writer based in London, UK, and a practicing Muslim with a deep passion for thoughtful living, faith, and personal growth. I am currently studying in the ʿĀlimiyyah program and pursuing Hifz, which allows me to deepen my understanding of the Islamic tradition and strengthen my connection to the Qur’an. I love travelling, learning, and meeting people from different walks of life. These experiences have shaped how I see the world and taught me to be my own teacher in life. I believe that every journey, conversation, and challenge carries a lesson, and I try to approach each day with curiosity and gratitude. Outside of work and studies, I enjoy spending time with my family, which keeps me grounded and reminds me of what truly matters. I’m into sports, which helps me stay healthy and active, and I’m a bit of a foodie who enjoys discovering new places to eat. I also have a long-standing interest in cars. My faith is at the heart of who I am. It guides my values, my writing, and the way I interact with others. Through my journey of faith, family, writing, ʿĀlimiyyah studies, and Hifz, I hope to offer benefit, inspiration, and reflection to others, and to contribute in a small way to meaningful, faith-rooted conversations in our time.
