Dua’s for the last 10 days of Ramadan

1- Last ten days Dua for Increased Guidance:

During the final days of Ramadan, Muslims reflect on their spiritual journey throughout the month and seek greater guidance, knowledge, and wisdom from Allah. This supplication embodies their deep yearning for guidance.

The Dua: رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

Its transliteration: Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba’da idh hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmah innaka antal Wahhab

Its translation: Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

2- Dua for Forgiveness:

As the last ten days of Ramadan come to an end, Muslims earnestly seek forgiveness for their sins, both past and future. This heartfelt Dua serves as a plea for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

The Dua: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Its transliteration: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni

Its translation: O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.

3- Dua for Protection and Guidance:

In the final nights of Ramadan, Muslims seek protection and guidance from Allah. This Dua asks for protection from hardships and calamities, as well as for Allah’s mercy and guidance.

The Dua: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ

Its transliteration: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min zawali ni’matika wa tahawwuli ‘afiyatika wa fuja’ati niqmatika wa jami’i sakhatika

Its translation: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the removal of Your blessings, a change in Your protection, the sudden onset of Your punishment, and from all Your displeasure.

4- Last ten days Dua for Protection from Calamities:

Muslims seek protection from calamities and hardships in the last ten nights of Ramadan. This Dua is a supplication for forgiveness and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.

The Dua: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

Its transliteration: Allahumma inni as’aluka al-‘afwa wal-‘afiyah fi-d-dunya wal-akhirah

Its translation: O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.

5- Dua for Acceptance of Worship:

As Ramadan comes to an end, believers seek acceptance for their worship and deeds. This Dua is a humble request to Allah to accept their efforts, recognizing His attributes of All-Hearing and All-Knowing.

The Dua: اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Its transliteration: Allahumma taqabbal minna innaka antas-Sami’ul-‘Alim

Its translation: O Allah, accept from us, for You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

6- Last ten days Dua about Laylat Al-Qadr: 

During the last ten nights of Ramadan, Muslims search for Laylat al-Qadr, also known as the Night of Decree, which is filled with immense blessings and significance. This dua (supplication) is made to Allah, recognizing the special potential of that night and asking for the best of what He has decreed, both in this world and in the Hereafter.

The Dua: اللهم إن كانت هذه ليلة القدر فاقسم لي فيها خير ما قسمت واختم لي في قضائك خير ما ختمت واختم لي بالسعادة فيمن ختمت

Its transliteration: Allahumma in kanat hathihi laylatu al-qadr, faqsim li fiha khayra ma qasamta, wa akhkim li fi qada’ika khayra ma khatamta, wa akhkim li bis-sa’adati fi man khatamta.

Its translation: O Allah, if this is the Night of Decree, decree for me the best of what You have decreed, and seal for me in Your decrees the best of what You have sealed, and seal for me with happiness among those You have sealed.

7- Dua for Seeking All Goodness and Seeking Refuge from All Evil:

This dua is a comprehensive supplication to Allah, asking for all forms of goodness, whether immediate or delayed, known or unknown. It also seeks refuge from all forms of evil, both apparent and hidden, and requests protection in the present and the future.

The Dua:  اللهم إني أسالك من الخير كله عاجله وآجله ما علمت منه وما لم أعلم وأعوذ بك من الشَّرِّ كله عاجله وآجله ماعلمت منه وما لم أعلم

Its transliteration: Allahumma inni as’aluka min al-khayri kullihi ‘ajilihi wa ajilihi, ma ‘alimtu minhu wa ma lam a’lam, wa a’udhu bika min ash-sharri kullihi ‘ajilihi wa ajilihi, ma ‘alimtu minhu wa ma lam a’lam.

Its translation: O Allah, I ask You for all good, both immediate and delayed, that which I know and that which I do not know. And I seek refuge in You from all evil, both immediate and delayed, that which I know and that which I do not know.

8- Dua for the Conclusion of Ramadan:

As Ramadan nears its end, this dua is a supplication to Allah, asking for His acceptance of our fasting and prayers throughout the month. It also seeks Allah’s protection from the Hellfire and asks for His blessings for many years to come, filled with health and well-being.

The Dua: اللهم اختم لنا رمضان برضوانك والعتق من نيرانك واجعلنا فيه من المقبولين وأعده علينا أعواما عديدة ونحن في صحة وعافية.

Its transliteration: Allahumma akh-tim lana Ramadan bi-ridwanik, wal-‘itq min an-nar, waj’alna fihi min al-muqbilin, wa a’idhhu ‘alayna a’waman ‘adida, wa nahnu fi sahati wa ‘afiya.

Its translation: O Allah, conclude Ramadan for us with Your acceptance, and free us from the Hellfire. Make us among those who are accepted by You, and return it to us for many years, while we are in health and well-being.

9- Last ten days Dua for a Pious End:

This dua is a sincere request to Allah, asking Him to make the last of one’s actions a prostration in prayer, symbolizing submission and devotion. It also seeks that the last of one’s words be a testimony of faith, ensuring a place in Paradise.

The Dua: اللهمّ اجعل آخر أفعالي سجدةً لك ، وآخر أقوالي شهادة تدخلني جنتك.

Its transliteration: Allahumma j’al akhira a’mali sujdatan laka, wa akhira aqwaali shahadatan tudkhilni jannatak.

Its translation: O Allah, make the last of my deeds a prostration to You, and the last of my words a testimony that admits me to Your Paradise.

10- Dua for Seeking Truth and Support:

This supplication is a humble request to Allah, asking to be guided into situations and places of truth and righteousness, and to be led away from them in the same manner. It also seeks from Allah a supportive authority or proof to help navigate life’s challenges.

The Dua: ربي ادخلني مدخل صدق واخرجني مخرج صدق واجعل لي من لدنك سلطانا نصيرًا.

Its transliteration: Rabbi adkhilni mudkhala sidqin wa akhrijni mukhraja sidqin waj’al li min ladunka sultanan naseera.

Its translation: My Lord, admit me by a truthful entry and take me out by a truthful exit and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.

What is Sunnah to do in the last 10 days of Ramadan? 

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) dedicated himself to worship during the last ten days of Ramadan more than at any other time.

Here are some Sunnah acts you can strive for:

  • Itikaf: Seclude yourself in the mosque for worship and reflection.
  • Increased Night Prayers: Pray Taraweeh and Tahajjud diligently.
  • Quran Recitation: Aim to complete the Quran at least once during Ramadan, focusing on understanding and implementing its teachings.
  • Charity and Sadaqah: Give generously to those in need, especially in places like Gaza and Palestine, where your donations can help struggling families.
  • Dua and Dhikr: Make abundant supplications and remember Allah SWT throughout the day and night.
  • Family Involvement: Engage your family in worship and good deeds, creating a spiritually enriching environment for everyone.

How You Should Spend the Last 10 Nights 

These nights are precious; strive to spend them in a way that maximises your spiritual gains:

  • Avoid Distractions: Minimise worldly activities and focus on your connection with Allah SWT.
  • Seek Laylatul Qadr: Be extra vigilant in your worship during the odd nights. I am hoping to encounter this blessed night.
  • Repentance and Forgiveness: Ask Allah SWT for forgiveness sincerely and firmly intend to avoid sin in the future.
  • Gratitude: Express gratitude for the blessings of Ramadan and ask Allah SWT to accept your fasts and prayers.

The last ten days of Ramadan are a period full of spiritual potential. Let us strive to make the most of these blessed nights through sincere worship, abundant Dua, and charitable acts.
